Carbon Emission Factor Database
Carbon Emission Factor Database (CEFD) is a unique, India-specific online database of 19,000+ Carbon Emission Factors, encompassing the major categories including Energy, Water & Wastewater, Waste, Mobility, Services, Food & Beverages, Materials, Industrial processes and AFLOU. The emission factors are not only India-specific, but are also region and brand-specific (e.g. electricity, airlines, auto vehicles).
Moreover, the CEFD comprises Life-Cycle Emission Factors (including Scope 3) for a variety of materials.
Ideal for Research and Educational institutions or businesses, who perform their carbon footprinting in-house and are seeking specific, scientifically-approved and reliable emission factors.

The Western State Colorado University (WSCU)’s Department of Environmental Management Program has verified emission factor calculations and validated that the emission factor development methodology is in alignment with 2006 IPCC guidelines and GHG Protocol. WSCU has awarded its validation after a rigorous review and audit of emission factor development process by a panel of energy and environmental academics. Energy and Mobility Emission Factors have been verified and validated. Validation for other emission factor categories is currently ongoing.
